How KODIAK PI handles personal information for enquiries, investigations and website use.

Depending on the enquiry and instruction, this may include client and contact details, identity and authority checks, case instructions, communications, payment records, research material, observations, imagery, reports and information about other individuals. Some instructions may involve special-category or criminal-offence information.

3. Why we use information

We use information to assess enquiries, verify identity and lawful purpose, enter and perform contracts, plan and conduct lawful work, communicate findings, maintain records, protect legal rights, meet regulatory duties and prevent misuse.

4. Lawful bases

Depending on the activity, bases may include contract, legal obligation and legitimate interests. Additional conditions are required where special-category or criminal-offence information is processed. The basis and necessity must be assessed for each processing activity.

5. Sources and sharing

Information may come from clients, public and licensed sources, observations and service providers. It may be shared where necessary with instructed specialists, professional advisers, technology providers, courts, regulators or law enforcement. The actual supplier categories and safeguards will be confirmed before launch.

6. Retention and security

Information is retained only for defined periods appropriate to the purpose, legal duties, limitation periods and risk. KODIAK PI’s approved retention schedule and secure-deletion arrangements will be finalised before launch.

7. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, individuals may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability. Some rights may be limited by applicable exemptions. Requests should be sent to enquiries@kodiakpi.co.uk.

8. Complaints

Contact KODIAK PI first so concerns can be considered. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

9. Website data and cookies

This static version sets no non-essential cookies. If analytics, advertising, embedded media or chat tools are added, this notice and the consent mechanism must be updated before those tools are enabled.
